Abdulrazaq Assures Nigerians of Government’s Efforts to Address Economic Concerns
Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu and other national leaders are actively addressing the country’s economic challenges. Speaking to reporters after the Jum’ah prayer at Alihamdulillaah Mosque in Ilorin, Governor Abdulrazaq emphasized that the government has heard the citizens’ complaints and is working on multiple interventions to ease their burdens.
“We have heard you, and a lot more will be done to strengthen the economy and ensure the welfare of the people. I urge all of you to please be patient with the President,” Abdulrazaq said. He highlighted ongoing efforts, including student loans and various programs under the Credicorp facility, as part of the government’s strategy to provide relief.
The Governor expressed gratitude to the people of Kwara State for their patience and peaceful conduct amid economic hardships. He noted the state’s commitment to prioritizing residents’ welfare and urged continued patience and understanding. “As a government, we have listened, and we have heard you clearly. The President is working on multiple interventions and palliatives to ease the burden,” Abdulrazaq assured.
He acknowledged the anger and frustration among some citizens but emphasized that the government is responsive and committed to addressing their concerns. “We’ve heard [you], and the right thing will be done,” he stated. Governor Abdulrazaq also commended Kwarans for their calmness and resilience, encouraging them to continue supporting government efforts to improve the situation.
