Aiyedatiwa Appeals to Religious Leaders for Support and Dialogue
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reached out to religious leaders across the state, urging them to continue their prayers and promote peace within their communities. During a meeting held at the Cocoa Conference Hall in the Governor’s Office, Akure, Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the religious leaders for their support and emphasized the crucial role of peaceful coexistence and dialogue in addressing Nigeria’s current economic challenges.
The governor stressed the need for increased production to help lower commodity prices and highlighted his administration’s efforts to revive key industries in the state, such as Ifon Ceramics and Okitipupa Oil Palm. He also called for greater youth involvement in agriculture.
Religious leaders, including the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the state, Anselm Ologunwa, and Chief Imam of Akure, Abdul Hakeem Yayi Akorede, expressed their gratitude and support. They acknowledged the governor’s efforts to foster unity and addressed the importance of collaboration between religious leaders and the government in overcoming community challenges.
The meeting was attended by key officials including Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami and Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, who showed their support for the governor’s initiatives and collaborative efforts.
