Benue Commissioner Reveals Over N14 Billion Consent Judgments from Previous Administration

Benue State Commissioner for Justice and Public Order and Attorney-General, Fidelis Mnyim, disclosed that over N14 billion in consent judgments was inherited from the previous government. During an interaction with journalists, he explained that the past administration of Samuel Ortom had numerous consent judgments, some of which involved unpaid contracts and pensions.
These consent judgments, totaling 14 billion naira, cannot be appealed because they were agreed upon by the government. Mnyim also mentioned efforts to address garnishee orders and infrastructural improvements in the ministry.
