Benue State Governor Encourages Hunters’ Role in Enhancing State Security
Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, emphasized the importance of Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service operatives in combating crime during the closing of a comprehensive capacity training session in Makurdi. Alia urged them to collaborate with existing security agencies, respect citizens’ rights, and assured the public of restored peace in the state.
Joseph Har, the Governor’s Special Adviser on security and internal matters, commended the operatives’ active role, citing their recent arrests that contributed to reducing crime rates. Meanwhile, State Commander Peter Ajonya expressed gratitude for the training received and acknowledged the support provided by the governor, traditional rulers, and others.
