0

Gov. Zulum promised to unify teachings and preaching, lamenting that Islamiyya schools have been operating for more than three decades without any standard of procedures in the state.

Governor Zulum’s emphasis on teaching and preaching in accordance with authentic content from the holy books reflects a commitment to promoting a balanced and accurate understanding of Islamic teachings. By aligning the new curriculum with the policies of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, the government aims to ensure that students receive a standardized education that prepares them for higher learning opportunities. The focus on the Maliki school of thought in the curriculum, covering subjects such as Arabic, Quran, Hadith, Tauhid, and jurisprudence, highlights the comprehensive nature of the educational framework. Additionally, the call for support from parents and stakeholders underscores the importance of collective efforts in providing quality Islamic education to every child in Borno State.
