Cross River Governor Signs N437 Billion Revised Budget
Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has signed a supplementary budget, raising the 2024 budget to N437 billion. This revision addresses inflation and macroeconomic challenges, prioritizing sectors like aviation, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security.
The budget allocates funds for acquiring additional aircraft to boost economic connectivity, improving roads and public facilities, and enhancing schools and healthcare services. Social protection programs will also expand to support vulnerable communities.
Governor Otu thanked the State House of Assembly for their swift action, underscoring the government’s dedication to fostering a prosperous and inclusive future.
