Cross River State Government Establishes Task Force on Health Insurance Utilization
In a bid to scrutinize health insurance utilization across public health facilities, the Cross River State Government has formed a task force. Led by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, the 8-member team will assess the spending of public health facilities, ensuring effective management of health insurance resources. The task force’s responsibilities include determining total capitation and fees, assessing utilization levels, and identifying factors affecting performance. Dr. Ayuk expressed confidence in the team’s ability to submit a report within a month, addressing financial management anomalies in the public health sector.
