Dualisation of ZONE 6-NNPC-TANK FARM Road-Esuk Utan Approved by Governor Otu
Governor Otu has approved the ongoing dualization of the ZONE 6-NNPC-TANK FARM Road-Esuk Utan in Calabar Municipality. The road project, spanning approximately 2 kilometers, includes dual-sided drainages and will feature a solar street lighting system upon completion.
The construction company, Faith Plant Global, highlighted the significance of the project, citing improved access to and from the tank farms and reduced traffic congestion from both NNPC and NPA/NEPZA into the highway.
Previously, the road posed risks to fuel tankers due to its narrow corridor, but the expansion into a dual carriage way aims to enhance safety for motorists. Residents and businesses in the area welcomed the development, expressing gratitude for the governor’s commitment to infrastructure improvement.
Isa Suleiman, a local businessman, lauded the governor’s efforts, noting the potential for expanded business opportunities and increased investment value resulting from the upgraded road infrastructure. He expressed relief that the area would now have a safer and more efficient transportation route, thanks to Governor Otu’s initiative.
