Ebonyi APC Chairman Commends 2024 Budget’s Emphasis on Defence and Education Allocations
Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ebonyi State branch, commended the 2024 budget for prioritizing defence and the education sector with substantial allocations. Emegha highlighted the significance of these allocations, stating that improvement in these sectors would positively impact other areas.
Emphasizing the crucial role of defence and education in national development, Emegha noted that the proposed budget, tagged “Budget of Renewed Hope,” earmarked the highest allocations—N3.25 trillion for defence and N2.18 trillion for education. He emphasized that these steps could address insecurity, facilitate job creation, and reduce poverty, fostering a conducive environment for Nigerians in 2024.
The APC Chairman praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to nation-building, as reflected in the proposed financial document. He urged the legislative arm of government to expedite the passage of the budget for swift implementation to commence, considering the imperative nature of the proposed budget estimate.
