Ekiti Governor Seeks Military Support Amid Rising Crime
Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has requested additional soldiers to address the increasing crime rate in the state. Following the recent abduction of six pupils and three teachers during an attack on a school bus, as well as the killing of two traditional rulers, Governor Oyebanji visited the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, to seek military support. The governor emphasized the need for troops to prevent future incidents. The Chief of Defence Staff commiserated with the governor and advocated for the use of locals to complement security efforts.
