Ekiti State Launches Groundbreaking Innovation Hub
Ekiti State has proudly unveiled its first innovation hub, the Ekiti Startup Garage (ESG), located at the Obafemi Awolowo Civic Centre in Ado-Ekiti. This cutting-edge facility, equipped with 24/7 power supply and high-speed internet, is set to revolutionize the technological landscape by fostering collaboration among techpreneurs, researchers, developers, and investors.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji, speaking at the launch, emphasized that the Ekiti Startup Garage is a vital component of his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement. The hub aims to provide the necessary tools and resources for individuals to thrive in the tech industry and drive innovative solutions for local and global challenges.
The Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Digital Economy, Mr. Seun Fakuade, expressed gratitude to the governor for his dedication to youth development and for establishing Ekiti as a leading talent hub. He also announced the approval of the first phase of the Innovation Enterprise Support Fund, designed to help talented youths develop their ideas.
