Ekiti State’s 2024 Budget Signed Into Law, Emphasizing Development and Growth

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has officially ratified the 2024 appropriation bill, entitled ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth and Development.’ The budget, presented by the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Adeoye Aribasoye, totals N159,572,481,915.51 (N159.57 billion), apportioned with 56% for recurrent expenditure and 44% for capital expenditure.

Governor Oyebanji emphasized his administration’s resolve to effectively execute the budget to foster sustainable growth, generate job opportunities, and enhance the overall socio-economic landscape of Ekiti State. The primary objective is to stimulate economic activities, fulfill campaign promises, and improve the standard of living for residents.

Expressing gratitude to the Ekiti State House of Assembly for their meticulous review and preparation of the budget, Governor Oyebanji highlighted their pivotal role as dependable partners in the state’s development agenda.
