Ekiti State’s Ulerawa Health Insurance Programme Enhances Healthcare for Over 429,000 Residents

Ekiti State is making significant strides in healthcare with the “Ulerawa Health Insurance Programme and Basic Health Care Provision Fund,” which is currently benefiting over 429,000 residents. This initiative offers comprehensive services, including malaria treatment, immunization, maternal and child health, family planning, and care for HIV and tuberculosis.

The program includes over 700 scheduled free surgeries, ongoing training for health staff, facility renovations, and aligned doctors’ pay, reflecting the state’s unwavering commitment to healthcare excellence. The recent approval of a Federal Medical Centre in Ikole-Ekiti further bolsters the state’s healthcare infrastructure and economic prospects.

Through these efforts, Ekiti State is setting a new standard in public health, ensuring that every resident has access to high-quality medical care and demonstrating a strong commitment to improving healthcare access and outcomes.
