Federal Government Applauds Governor Idris for Agric Institute Land Allocation
The Federal Government has commended Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, for allocating a 10-hectare land for the construction of an Agricultural Machinery Development Institute in the state. The land, recently donated to the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), marks a significant step towards enhancing agricultural development in the region.
Dr. Muhammad Muhammad Aliyu, representing the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, expressed gratitude for the governor’s support during a visit to Birnin Kebbi. Construction is set to commence within two weeks, with all necessary preparations completed, including engineering designs and budgetary allocations.
Alhaji Dahiru Zaki, the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Office of Kebbi State, emphasized the importance of the project in bolstering agricultural equipment production, particularly in rice and other crops. The selection of Kebbi State for this initiative underscores its immense potential in agriculture and its commitment to national development.
