Global Entrepreneurs Festival: A Triumph for Ondo State under Governor Aiyedatiwa
Ondo State has solidified its reputation as a hub of innovation and tourism following the successful hosting of the Global Entrepreneurs Festival in Akure, led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. The three-day event attracted entrepreneurs, stakeholders, and diaspora representatives, showcasing the state’s vast economic and cultural potential.
Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Boye Ologbese, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his visionary leadership and focus on peace and security, which created an enabling environment for the festival’s seamless execution. The event highlighted Akure as a thriving business and tourism destination, establishing it as a premier hub on the global map.
A key feature of the festival was its focus on Akure’s cultural heritage, including historical landmarks and natural attractions. These efforts were complemented by the unveiling of a Diaspora Smart City project, tagged the “Green Economy Initiative,” envisioned as a mini Dubai in Akure.
Ologbese also expressed gratitude to Dr. Francis Summy Smart, Special Assistant on Entrepreneurship, for his pivotal role in coordinating the event and empowering local entrepreneurs. “Akure is more than the capital of Ondo State; it is a city rich in culture, talent, and opportunities,” Ologbese remarked, emphasizing the festival’s success in drawing attention to Akure’s potential as a global tourism and business hub.
Under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, Ondo State is making strides in engaging the diaspora community and promoting investment opportunities, further cementing its position as a center of entrepreneurial excellence.
