Gombe Governor Allocates Official Cars to Commissioners to Enhance State Operations
Governor Muhammadu Yahaya of Gombe State recently distributed cars to 17 Commissioners, emphasizing the need for effective administration and cost reduction in transportation within the state. Addressing the recipients, the Governor underscored that the vehicle allocation aimed at supporting their official duties and upholding the prestige of their positions.
Highlighting the practicality of the allocation, Governor Yahaya clarified, “This is not a donation but an allocation to facilitate seamless operations and ensure Commissioners perform their roles efficiently. It’s essential for them to carry out their duties without hindrance.”
Additionally, the Governor cautioned against misuse of the vehicles, urging the Commissioners to remain prudent, considering the current global economic situation. Governor Yahaya stressed that the cars would be retrieved if used for unofficial purposes, emphasizing accountability in public service delivery.
