Gombe Governor Expands Healthcare Reach Across Local Governments
Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State is taking strides to extend health insurance accessibility, as he commissions offices of Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (GO-HEALTH) in all 11 local government areas. The governor, represented by his deputy, Manasseh Jatau, assured the commitment to delivering quality healthcare services to every resident’s doorstep.
The launch strengthens the GO-HEALTH program, established in 2021, ensuring easy access to healthcare without bottlenecks. Over 140,000 residents have been enrolled in the insurance scheme, accessing services at a reduced cost. The introduction of call centers in local government areas aims to make the program more responsive, equipped for easy digital capturing of beneficiaries.
