Gombe State Governor Reaffirms Commitment to Collaboration with Development Partners

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering partnerships with development agencies for the benefit of Gombe State residents. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the JAPAN-UNESCO project on “Strengthening Peace Building and Resilience in Northeast Nigeria,” the governor emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing socio-economic challenges.
Highlighting the administration’s achievements in revitalizing key sectors, Governor Yahaya underscored the significance of education, healthcare, and agriculture in driving economic growth. He commended UNESCO for its support in empowering vulnerable groups and promoting social change within communities.
Abdurrahman Diallo, Head of UNESCO Office in Nigeria, reiterated the organization’s commitment to addressing the impact of insurgency and promoting peace and stability in the Northeast region. He emphasized the need for reconstruction assistance and humanitarian aid to mitigate the effects of armed violence on civilian populations.
