Governor AbdulRazaq Honored with Prestigious Award for Entrepreneurial Governance
Kwara State Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has been honored with the prestigious Award of Honour from the Home of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, an affiliate of Prime Light University, USA. The award, presented at the Global Entrepreneurship and Startup Conference (GESTAC 2024), recognizes Governor AbdulRazaq as the Best Governor in Entrepreneurial Governance and highlights his outstanding contributions to skill acquisition and empowerment programs in the state.
Governor AbdulRazaq, who was represented at the ceremony by the Chairman of the Kwara State House Committee on Education, Baba Salihu, expressed his gratitude for the recognition. The award, he noted, is a testament to the impactful investments made in entrepreneurship and youth development under his administration.
The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu, was also honored at the event, receiving a Doctorate in Political Entrepreneurship and Leadership. The awards ceremony took place at the International Vocational Technical and Entrepreneurship College (IVTEC) in Ajase-Ipo, where the college’s Rector, Engr. (Dr.) Yaru Salihu, commended the state government’s efforts in fostering technical and entrepreneurial skills.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including members of the House Committees on Energy and Education, as well as other distinguished personalities. The ceremony also featured the launch of the World’s First Dictionary of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, marking a significant milestone in global entrepreneurship.
