Governor AbdulRazaq Urges Youth to Embrace Peace and Positive Engagement
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has called on Nigerian youth to continue choosing peace, shunning vices, and engaging in activities that propel them towards achieving their life goals. Speaking at an event in Ilorin to mark International Youth Day, the Governor commended Kwara’s youth for their consistent preference for peace over chaos, particularly in response to recent national events.
Represented by the Commissioner for Environment and Forestry, Nafisat Musa Buge, the Governor encouraged the youth to gain insights from the day’s discussions and to strive for greatness through education, ethical use of social media, hard work, and positive thinking. He also urged them to choose healthy lifestyles and good company over vices like hard drugs and crime.
The event, organized by the State Ministry of Youth Development, featured presentations by notable speakers, including the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, and Dr. Tayo Simon Arinde from the University of Ilorin. The Governor assured the youth that his administration would continue to prioritize initiatives that offer them a brighter future, citing projects like the Innovation Hub and Garment Factory as examples of the state’s commitment to youth empowerment.
