Governor Abiodun Applauds Lafarge’s Contributions to Ogun’s Development, Seeks Continued Collaboration

Governor Dapo Abiodun expressed appreciation for the enduring partnership between the Ogun State Government and Lafarge Africa Plc during a courtesy visit by the company’s management team. Recognizing Lafarge’s 64 years of commitment to Ogun’s economic growth, the Governor commended the company’s role in job creation, skills development, and community empowerment.  Highlighting Lafarge’s impact on industrial activities, the Governor acknowledged the company’s CSR initiatives, emphasizing their dedication to improving the quality of life for Ogun State residents. The Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge, Mr. Lolu Alade-Akinyemi, outlined the company’s principles of sustainable development, with a focus on circular economy, climate and energy, and people.  Governor Abiodun assured Lafarge of continued collaboration for mutual benefit, affirming the government’s commitment to attracting multinational companies to the state. The meeting concluded with a reiteration of Lafarge’s commitment to contributing to the ongoing development of the region.
