Governor Aiyedatiwa Approves Rehabilitation of Alternative Road into AAUA Campus
Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has approved the rehabilitation of the alternative road leading into Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA) in Akungba-Akoko. This decision follows an unscheduled visit to the university, where the Governor assessed the challenges faced by the students due to the road’s poor condition.
Accompanied by the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olugbenga Ige, Governor Aiyedatiwa observed the significant issues caused by the road’s topography, which has led to multiple accidents involving heavy vehicles. The Governor directed the Ministry of Infrastructure to commence repairs and develop plans to enhance infrastructure and security around the university.
Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed a commitment to improving road safety and quality of life for the over 20,000 students at the university. He emphasized that the administration would work on creating alternative routes for heavy vehicles and incorporate these improvements into the budget to ensure better safety and infrastructure for the university community.
