Governor Aiyedatiwa Commends Residents for Peaceful Conduct Amidst Nationwide Protests

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has expressed gratitude to the residents of Ondo for maintaining peace during the recent nationwide protests. Unlike many regions, Ondo State witnessed no security incidents, with citizens continuing their daily activities in an orderly manner.

Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted this peaceful disposition as a testament to the community’s character, reinforcing Ondo’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s most peaceful states. In his message, the Governor thanked the populace for their understanding and restraint in response to his calls for calm amidst economic challenges.

“I want to thank the good people of Ondo State for maintaining peace and not joining the nationwide protests. Even when we, as a government, have acknowledged the economic challenges facing our nation and our people, we thank them for heeding our call for peace,” Aiyedatiwa said.

He extended his appreciation to students, youths, women, artisans, public servants, and civil society organizations for their commitment to maintaining order. Traditional rulers, religious leaders, labor leaders, and security agencies were also commended for their roles in upholding peace.

Governor Aiyedatiwa assured the citizens of continued efforts to alleviate economic hardships, promising that upcoming policies, initiatives, and projects across various sectors will significantly improve their lives.
