Governor Aiyedatiwa Honors Dr. Paul Akintelure’s Legacy of Integrity and Impact
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, paid tribute to the late Dr. Paul Akintelure, celebrating his legacy of integrity and profound impact during the funeral mass held at St. Pius Catholic Church in Igbotako, Okitipupa local government area. Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized that the ceremony was a commemoration of Dr. Akintelure’s remarkable life rather than a somber occasion.
Acknowledging the collective sense of loss, Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted Dr. Akintelure’s enduring contributions to Igbotako as a medical doctor, community leader, and dedicated political figure. He praised Dr. Akintelure’s commitment to serving humanity and saving lives, recognizing his significant influence on many individuals within the community.
In his sermon, Rev. Fr. Clement Odia urged attendees to emulate Dr. Akintelure’s legacy of compassion and generosity, emphasizing his role as a devoted family man and selfless helper. Dr. Akintade Akintelure, representing the family, expressed gratitude for the support received and emphasized his father’s unwavering integrity throughout his life.
The service was attended by prominent dignitaries, including APC Aspirants Chief Olusola Oke and Prince Diran Iyantan, former NMA President Prof Dayo Faduyile, and former Commissioner for Education Femi Agagu, among others. Dr. Paul Akintelure’s passing on March 26, 2024, at the age of 61, leaves behind a legacy of service, integrity, and a loving family.
