Governor Alia Approves Road and Drainage Construction at NYSC Camp Wannune
His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, the Executive Governor of Benue State, has given his approval for the immediate construction of roads and drainages at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp located in Wannune, Tarkaa Local Government Area. This decision was announced by Governor Alia during the closing ceremony of the Batch A stream 2 Corps Members orientation, which took place at the NYSC Camp in Wannune on Monday, May 7, 2024.
In addition to approving the construction project, Governor Alia reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to sustaining the payment of N15,000 to all Corps Members and N100,000 to other Corps doctors serving in Benue State. He expressed gratitude to the Corps Members for their dedication and selfless service to the people of Benue. Governor Alia pledged continued support to ensure the success of the Corps Members in their national assignment.
This decision underscores Governor Alia’s dedication to improving infrastructure and amenities for the benefit of NYSC Corps Members and reflects the state government’s recognition of the valuable contributions made by Corps Members to the development of Benue State.
