Governor Alia Empowers BSUTH Staff with IVF and IUI Training
Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Rev Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia PhD, the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) has initiated its first staff training program on In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI). Led by Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, the Chief Medical Director of BSUTH, this groundbreaking training aims to equip medical staff with cutting-edge knowledge and skills in fertility treatments. Held at the Muhammadu Buhari Mother and Care Hospital in Makurdi from April 22nd to April 24th, the comprehensive curriculum covers essential topics such as human reproductive anatomy, IVF and IUI procedures, patient management, and ethical considerations. Facilitated by experienced fertility specialists and professionals, the training includes live demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and interactive discussions. Upon completion, BSUTH’s medical staff will be poised to provide top-notch fertility services, aligning with Governor Alia’s commitment to enhancing healthcare in Benue State.
