Governor Babagana Zulum Disburses N450 Million to Widows and Vulnerable Women
Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has disbursed N450 million to support 45,000 widows and vulnerable women in the region. This initiative aims to alleviate the impact of the Boko Haram crisis by providing N10,000 in cash and a wrapper to each recipient. The governor emphasized that the support is not meant to create dependency but to help families regain stability.
Zulum also supervised the distribution of food items and agricultural inputs to over 35,000 households in Monguno, each receiving a 25kg bag of rice and cowpeas. He expressed gratitude to the federal government for providing 20 trucks of rice and 90 trucks of fertilizer for free distribution, underlining the state’s commitment to aiding its citizens.
