Governor Bassey Otu Inaugurates Cross River State Electoral Commission, Tasks Members on Credible LG Polls
Governor Bassey Otu has inaugurated the newly constituted Chairman and members of the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC). The members, including Mr. Ekong Edet Bocco as Chairman, and other appointees such as Mrs. Rose Banku Atep and Dr. Lawrence Edu as Secretary, were ratified earlier by the State House of Assembly. Governor Otu charged the commission to ensure the credibility and fairness of local government elections, emphasizing that local governance is crucial for effective grassroots democracy.
