In a heartwarming display of unity and inclusivity, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has extended a heartfelt assurance to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. As the November 11 governorship election approaches, Governor Bello has promised equal participation and representation for all party members.

This pledge came to life during a special reception held in honor of Mr. James Faleke, a prominent figure in the APC and the current Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance. Mr. Faleke, who was the 2015 former deputy governorship candidate of the APC, brought with him a substantial contingent of party members from all three senatorial districts in the state.

Governor Bello emphasized the existence of a level playing field within the APC, where every member enjoys equal access to the abundant opportunities provided by the party. He expressed, “As it stands in Kogi today, there’s nothing like hierarchy or privilege when it comes to participation within the party. I, therefore, wish to assure all APC members in the state of equal participation and representation in the forthcoming Nov. 11 governorship poll.”

In response to this heartening assurance, Mr. Faleke conveyed the group’s unwavering dedication to working and campaigning for the success of the party’s candidate, Usman Ododo, in the upcoming election. He revealed that their decision to wholeheartedly support Ododo’s candidacy was reached following a meeting with other party members in Abuja, a testament to their commitment to the broader interests of both the state and the nation.

Mr. Faleke underscored the unity and strength of the APC, declaring, “Our commitment and dedication to work for the ruling APC is motivated by the broader interests of both the state and the nation, moreso that APC is more united and stronger than ever before. This development reflects the APC members’ unwavering commitment to unity and their collective aspiration for victory in the forthcoming Nov. 11 governorship election in Kogi.”

As Kogi State prepares for this crucial election, Governor Bello’s promise of unity and inclusivity sets a positive tone, fostering a sense of belonging and hope among party members. It underscores the enduring spirit of collaboration that defines the APC in the state, uniting all in their shared aspiration for a brighter future.
