Governor Buni Champions Yobe’s Livestock Development with Three New Centers
As part of fortifying livestock production, Governor Hon Mai Mala Buni has unveiled plans to establish three additional state-of-the-art livestock development centres in Yobe State. During the presentation of the 2024 budget proposal to the state house of assembly in Damaturu, Governor Buni highlighted this initiative as a significant step towards enhancing the economic prosperity of the people while averting farmer/herder crises across the state.
Allocating over N828 million in the 2024 budget, the governor reiterated the commitment to not only finalize the Nasari Livestock Development Center but also commence work on the Badegana and Gurjiyaje LDCs and the Nguru Stock Development Centre. Governor Buni additionally assured increased support for farmers by procuring more fertilizers and agricultural inputs, aiming for a robust improvement in crop production.
