Governor Idris Elevates Kebbi State Radio with Advanced Digitisation Equipment

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has taken a significant step in modernizing Kebbi State Radio by approving the purchase of cutting-edge digitisation equipment. The state’s Commissioner for Information and Culture, Hon. Yakubu Ahmed-BK, praised the governor’s forward-thinking leadership during the handover of the new equipment at the Ministry of Information and Culture headquarters in Birnin Kebbi.
Describing Governor Idris as a “workaholic” leader with a deep commitment to advancing the state’s media infrastructure, Hon. Ahmed-BK highlighted that this investment marks the first of its kind in the history of Kebbi Radio. The commissioner stressed that the new digital equipment would elevate the station’s operations, enabling it to compete favorably with other radio stations nationwide.
The newly acquired state-of-the-art equipment includes desktops, two-in-one computers, mediates, and local area connection items, which will streamline the station’s workflow and ensure efficient digital operations. The General Manager of Kebbi Radio, Eng. Mahe Mohammed, emphasized that the era of manual operations is over, assuring that soon, the station will operate entirely on a digital platform.
Governor Idris’s efforts to fully digitize the station underscore his commitment to enhancing public communication and service delivery. The staff of the radio station have been urged to make the most of the equipment to maximize its potential and provide top-notch broadcasting services. Eng. Mohammed expressed gratitude to the governor for fulfilling his pledge to transform Kebbi State Radio, marking a new era of modern media for the state.
