Governor Idris Enhances Corps Members’ Welfare in Kebbi State
Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, the Governor of Kebbi State, has displayed his commitment to the welfare of corps members by donating three million naira and two big bulls to those deployed to the state for Youth Service.
The donation, made shortly after the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Dakingari, Suru Local Government Area, aims to ensure a memorable and fulfilling experience for the youth.
Represented by the Kebbi State Head of Service, Alhaji Sufyanu Garba Bena, the Governor urged the corps members to uphold the ideals of the NYSC scheme, emphasizing national unity, integration, and development.
Governor Idris reassured the corps members of their safety in Kebbi, known for its peaceful coexistence among people of diverse backgrounds. He directed security agencies to double their efforts in ensuring maximum security for the corps members throughout their stay.
Furthermore, the Governor pledged the State Government’s continued support for the welfare and well-being of corps members, acknowledging their role in national service and development.
He congratulated the corps members on their successful academic journey and urged them to remain diligent in serving the nation. Additionally, Governor Idris called on them to emulate the spirit of hard work and dedication exemplified by the founding fathers of the NYSC scheme.
The swearing-in ceremony, attended by dignitaries including the Chief Judge of Kebbi State represented by Justice Hassan Shehu Kuwa, and the State Coordinator for Zamfara State, Alhaji Abdulsalam Alhassan, marked the commencement of a new phase of service for the corps members.
