Governor Idris Lauds Tulsi Foundation for Improving the Lives of 1,000 Households in Kebbi State

Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has expressed deep appreciation for the Tulsi Chanrai Foundation’s efforts in enhancing the living conditions of 1,000 households within the state. The governor made these remarks during the flag-off ceremony for the distribution of food items to people living with leprosy at Amanawa near Kalgo on Thursday.

Governor Idris acknowledged the foundation’s long-standing commitment to the people of Kebbi State, noting that it began with eye treatment services 20 years ago. He highlighted how the foundation’s impact has extended beyond eye care to include vital services such as water provision and food supplies, drawing beneficiaries from as far as Niger and Benin Republics.

The governor reiterated his administration’s dedication to addressing the needs of the state’s citizens, emphasizing the free distribution of fertilizer to boost agricultural production as a key priority. He assured that the efforts of the Tulsi Foundation would not be forgotten by the people of Kebbi and urged beneficiaries to make good use of the items provided, while continuing to support and pray for the foundation’s ongoing success.

Secretary to the Kebbi State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, echoed the governor’s sentiments, affirming the administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of its people and welcoming the Tulsi Foundation’s support in the community. Additionally, the Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alhaji Muhammad Bello Yakubu-Rilisco, expressed satisfaction with the foundation’s activities, confirming that food would be distributed to 1,000 households across six local government areas in Kebbi State.

Dr. Shravan Kumar-Kasam, CEO of the Tulsi Foundation, praised Governor Idris for his transformative efforts in Kebbi State and reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to supporting the people of the state, a relationship that has spanned over two decades. The distributed food items included 50kg of rice, 10kg of maize, 10kg of millet, 10kg of sorghum, and one gallon of cooking oil for each beneficiary.
