Governor Idris Pledges Continued Developmental Gains at APC Zonal Rally
Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to consolidating the developmental gains made in the state, promising that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government will continue to prioritize projects that improve the lives of the people. This assurance was made during the Zonal Campaign Rally in Zuru, which covered Zuru, Fakai, Sakaba, and Danko Wasagu Local Government Areas.
Addressing the large gathering of APC supporters, Governor Idris expressed gratitude for their unwavering support and highlighted the numerous achievements of his administration in sectors such as education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure. Notably, he mentioned the construction of new schools, renovation of existing ones, recruitment of over 2,000 teachers, and the distribution of free fertilizers and water pumps to farmers as part of the administration’s successes.
Governor Idris also reassured the people of Zuru that the dilapidated Koko-Zuru road would soon be reconstructed and that a skills acquisition center is under construction to benefit the youth in the area. The event also saw a significant boost for the APC, as thousands of defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) joined the ruling party, citing the Governor’s developmental projects as their motivation.
