Governor Idris Takes Firm Stand Against Bandit Informants
Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has taken a decisive stance against the menace of bandit informants, vowing to sign death warrants for those found guilty without hesitation. During a visit to Tudun Bichi in Wasagu Chiefdom, Governor Idris condemned the betrayal of community members by individuals providing information to bandits, labeling such actions as contrary to religious teachings and societal norms.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to combating insecurity in the state, pledging support to security agencies and promising necessary resources for their operations. Additionally, he responded to the community’s concerns by agreeing to expedite the rehabilitation of vital infrastructure, including a road crucial for connectivity and agricultural activities.
Muhammad Mika’ilu, the Village Head of Tudun Bichi, expressed appreciation for Governor Idris’s visit, highlighting its significance as the first-ever visit by a sitting governor to the village. He appealed for increased security presence to enable residents to resume farming activities without fear of bandit attacks, underscoring the importance of collective efforts in restoring peace and stability to the region.
