Governor Inuwa Yahaya Honors Gombe’s Champions of Qur’anic Recitation
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has celebrated the exceptional achievements of Hajara Ibrahim Dan’azumi and Shuaibu Muhammad Nazir, winners of prestigious Qur’anic recitation competitions.
Hajara Ibrahim Dan’azumi emerged as the overall winner at the International Female Qur’anic Recitation Competition held in Jordan, while Shuaibu Muhammad Nazir clinched the first position in the national category.
In recognition of their remarkable accomplishments, Governor Inuwa Yahaya presented Hajara with a 5 million naira gift and a full scholarship package, while Shuaibu received a 2 million naira award. Additionally, Hajara’s Qur’anic school received 5 million naira to enhance its operations.
The Governor praised the dedication and talent of the winners, highlighting their contributions to promoting excellence in Qur’anic education and elevating the reputation of Gombe State on the global stage.
The ceremony, held at the Government House, was attended by dignitaries, government officials, and representatives from the education sector, showcasing the state’s commitment to supporting educational excellence and nurturing talent.
