Governor Lauds DSS Rescue Operation, Ensures Victim Support
The Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for swiftly rescuing seven abducted victims within 24 hours. The rescue operation was conducted in response to a distress call, where DSS personnel engaged bandits and successfully secured the victims. The governor assured ongoing support to enhance security measures in the state and announced financial assistance of N100,000 to each rescued victim. Receiving the victims, the Secretary to the State Government, Muhammad Bello Sifawa, praised the DSS for their exemplary feat, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of Sokoto residents.
