Governor Namadi Celebrates World Teachers Day with Inspiring Message
Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State delivered an uplifting message to educators on World Teachers Day, encouraging them to continue shaping young minds with dedication and integrity. Speaking at the celebration held at Malam Aminu Kano Triangle, Dutse, the Governor emphasized the vital role teachers play in molding future generations.
He expressed deep appreciation for the teaching profession, referring to it as the “noblest of professions.” Governor Namadi urged educators to recognize their influential role as both educators and role models, emphasizing the importance of responsible conduct and character-building in the lives of students.
Governor Namadi assured teachers of his administration’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education in the state, emphasizing improvements in teacher welfare, training, and support. State Chairman of the NUT, Abdulkadir Yunusa, echoed the need for increased funding for the education sector and advocated for permanent appointments to address teacher shortages.
Under the theme “The teacher we need for the education we want,” this year’s commemoration celebrated the positive impact teachers make in shaping a brighter future.
