Governor Nasir Idris Reaffirms Commitment to Developmental Gains at APC Rally in Zuru
Governor Nasir Idris has reiterated the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration’s dedication to advancing people-oriented projects that enhance the lives of Kebbi State residents. Speaking during the Zonal Campaign Rally in Zuru, which included the Zuru, Fakai, Sakaba, and Danko Wasagu Local Government Areas, the Governor expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from APC loyalists.
Highlighting the administration’s achievements, Governor Idris noted significant progress in education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure, including the construction of new schools, renovation of existing ones, recruitment of over 2,000 teachers, and distribution of free fertilizers and water pumps to farmers. The Governor assured the crowd that these achievements would be consolidated and expanded upon in the coming years.
Addressing the dilapidated Koko-Zuru road, Governor Idris promised swift reconstruction and announced the ongoing construction of a skills acquisition center in Zuru to benefit the youth.
The rally also witnessed the defection of key figures from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) to the APC, citing Governor Idris’s developmental strides as the driving force behind their decision. Former Governor of Kebbi State and APC State Campaign Director-General, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, praised Governor Idris for delivering on his campaign promises and emphasized that the influx of defectors signals a strong victory for the APC.
The campaign team paid homage to the Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Sani Sami, Gomo II, who lauded Governor Idris’s developmental efforts and offered prayers for the successful conduct of the upcoming elections.
