Governor Otu Leads Cross River State’s Innovation Drive in Security

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has unveiled plans to bolster the state’s security infrastructure through innovative measures, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

During a meeting with members of Syndicate 4 from the National Institute of Security Studies’ Executive Intelligence Management Course 17, Governor Otu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to leveraging technology to address security challenges effectively.

Highlighting the significance of intelligence gathering, especially around solid mineral sites, Governor Otu emphasized the importance of collaboration between the state government and intelligence agencies to safeguard Cross River State.

The visit provided a platform for insightful discussions on the theme of “Artificial Intelligence, Security, and Emerging Economies in Africa,” with Governor Otu reaffirming the state’s readiness to embrace innovative solutions to enhance security.

Led by Evelyn Kwasau, FSI, Syndicate 4 expressed appreciation for the Governor’s support and pledged to provide valuable insights to strengthen the state’s security framework. The engagement underscores Governor Otu’s proactive approach to governance and his commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the people of Cross River State.
