Governor Oyebanji Committed to Welfare of Pensioners
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, displayed commitment to the welfare of pensioners by disbursing N500 million in gratuity payments. Addressing over 140 beneficiaries during the presentation at Jibowu Hall, Ado-Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji acknowledged the hardship faced by pensioners due to subsidy removal and pledged to explore means to alleviate their financial burden. He assured ongoing efforts to clear outstanding gratuity arrears and deliberate on the possibility of monthly payments to pensioners, aiming to ensure their sustained welfare.
Governor Oyebanji stressed the need for sustainable measures, expressing his intention to secure a favorable deal for pensioners and the state’s workforce. He highlighted the significance of ensuring financial stability by avoiding unsustainable promises, emphasizing a pragmatic approach to financial awards and initiatives.
