Governor Oyebanji to Commission Three Reconstructed Roads in Ado-Ekiti
On Monday, August 19th, 2024, Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, will commission three newly reconstructed and rehabilitated roads in the Ado-Ekiti metropolis. The State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, announced the upcoming commissioning, listing the roads as HMB-Doctors Quarters Road, Obisesan/Oke Ala Road in Basiri, and Jimoh Aliu-Adewumi Road.
Olatunbosun reiterated the administration’s commitment to developing a sustainable road network aimed at reducing road congestion, boosting productivity, particularly in the agricultural sector, and enhancing socioeconomic activities within the state. He explained that these road projects are strategically designed to promote commerce, improve security, attract investments, and generally enhance the quality of life for Ekiti residents.
The Commissioner highlighted the economic benefits, noting that efficient road networks are essential for the swift movement of people, goods, and services. He emphasized that the three roads were specifically designed to serve as alternate routes, improve accessibility, and assist with erosion control.
Olatunbosun assured the public that the roads were constructed to meet global standards, with materials rigorously inspected to ensure quality and durability. He emphasized that the government remains committed to maintaining high standards in all its infrastructure projects, ensuring long-term benefits for the people of Ekiti State.
