Governor Radda Acknowledges Predecessor’s Contributions to Katsina’s Development
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, expressed admiration for the substantial impact made by his predecessor, Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), during his tenure from 2007 to 2015. Governor Radda conveyed his satisfaction with Dr. Shema’s contributions during an address at the ‘Lecture and Award Day’ organized by Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, which honored the former Governor.
Radda attributed the conferment of a prestigious award on Dr. Shema by The Faculty of Law Board of the university to the former Governor’s dedication to promoting unity, love, and progress across the nation.
Reflecting on Dr. Shema’s governance era, Governor Radda highlighted the significant strides made across various sectors of Katsina’s economy. He stressed Dr. Shema’s commitment to completing projects initiated by his predecessor, the late Malam Umaru Musa Yar’adua, acknowledging their profound positive impact on the state’s progress.
While represented by his Deputy, Faruk Jobe, at the ceremony, Governor Radda reaffirmed the current government’s dedication to building upon past achievements. He promised to improve the lives of citizens across the state’s 34 Local Government Areas by enhancing existing projects, programs, and policies, adapting them to meet the evolving societal landscape. This commitment aims to further advance Katsina State’s development trajectory.
