Governor Sani Welcomes Vice President Shettima’s Visit to Commiserate with Kaduna State
Governor Sani had honour of receiving Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, who visited Sir Kashim Ibrahim House at the behest of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to offer condolences to the government and people of Kaduna State following the abduction of school children in Kuriga Community, Chikun Local Government.
President Tinubu’s message reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the security of lives and property, pledging unwavering support until the safe return of the abducted children. I express gratitude for his sympathy, solidarity, and assistance during this challenging period.
Since the unfortunate incident, I have maintained regular communication with President Tinubu, who shares our concerns and is determined to ensure the children’s safe return. I also appreciate Vice President Shettima’s unwavering support and prompt response in times of need.
During the condolence visit, I updated the Vice President on the government’s collaboration with security agencies to secure the children’s release. We have conducted on-site assessments in Kuriga, engaging with local leaders, parents, and stakeholders to ensure a positive outcome.
As we navigate this distressing situation, I emphasize the importance of non-politicization and urge the media to exercise caution in their reporting. Let us remain united in our efforts to secure the safety of all residents and uphold peace and stability in Kaduna State and beyond.
