Governor Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Senator Anthony Adefuye on His 80th Birthday
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended heartfelt congratulations to elder statesman and esteemed member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Senator Anthony Adefuye, on the occasion of his 80th birthday. Describing Senator Adefuye as a dedicated democrat and experienced politician, Governor Sanwo-Olu lauded his unwavering commitment to good governance and the advancement of democratic values.
Senator Adefuye, a key figure in Nigeria’s political landscape, served as a member of the National Assembly during the Third Republic and has remained a respected leader in Lagos State politics. His relentless efforts in defending democracy, particularly following the annulment of the June 12, 1993, presidential election, have earned him immense respect and admiration.
Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Senator Adefuye for his invaluable contributions to the growth and development of governance and politics in Lagos State and Nigeria at large. “Senator Adefuye is a true democrat whose dedication to public service is exemplary.
