Governor Sule Advocates for Qualified Teachers in Nasarawa State

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State urges civil servants to prioritize the recruitment of qualified teachers for primary schools. Addressing concerns of interference and nepotism in the recruitment process, Governor Sule emphasizes the need for merit-based selection to ensure the delivery of quality education.

During the allocation of housing units to civil servants in Lafia, Governor Sule highlights the detrimental effects of employing unqualified individuals, particularly in education. He calls for adherence to meritocracy to uphold educational standards and prevent undue influence in the recruitment process.

Governor Sule also reaffirms the appointment of Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman as the first female Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, based solely on merit. He assures the public that her selection was the result of a rigorous and impartial interview process conducted by a reputable committee chaired by Professor Attahiru Jega.
