Governor Uba Sani Announces Federal Government’s Plans to Rebuild Tudun Biri Community
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State revealed that the Federal Government is set to initiate the reconstruction of Tudun Biri, the community affected by the mistaken Nigeria Army drone strike. In an interview on ARISE NEWSNIGHT, he highlighted plans by both the Federal and Kaduna State governments to rehabilitate the community and provide support to blast victims and their families.
Expressing gratitude over the approved compensation to victims’ families, Governor Sani conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s message, shared through Vice-President Kashim Shettima during a visit to the affected area. He mentioned the President’s commitment to reconstructing the entire community and outlined a broader program initiated by President Tinubu aimed at providing housing for displaced persons across various states in Nigeria, with Kaduna being the first beneficiary.
Acknowledging the swift response from the Presidency, Governor Sani appreciated the Federal Government’s immediate investigation into the incident. He also highlighted the Kaduna State government’s proactive measures in providing medical aid, covering healthcare expenses, distributing relief materials, and supporting orphaned children resulting from the blast.
Furthermore, Governor Sani assured ongoing efforts toward a non-kinetic approach to security in collaboration with religious and traditional leaders across different areas in the state, aiming to address security challenges without politicization.
