Governor Umaru Bago Applauds Re-election of NUJ Niger State Council Executives
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Comrade Abu Nmodu, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council, and other officials on their re-election. Through a message conveyed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago praised the leadership for their collective vision and teamwork, which has led to significant progress within the Union during their first tenure.
The Governor expressed confidence that the re-elected executives will continue to advance the Union’s growth, urging them to intensify their efforts in serving members and addressing challenges such as the proliferation of fake news. He emphasized the critical role of journalists in society and encouraged the NUJ Niger State Council to maintain objectivity in their reportage, particularly as they are key stakeholders in his administration’s “New Niger Agenda.”
Governor Bago reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for the Union’s leadership and its members, noting that the strong relationship between the state government and the NUJ will be further strengthened for the benefit of all.
