Governor Uzodimma Mourns Chief Iwuanyanwu’s Passing
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. In a statement issued in Owerri, Governor Uzodimma mourned the loss of this revered Nigerian statesman who passed away on July 25, 2024, in Abuja.
Governor Uzodimma, also the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum and the South East Governors’ Forum, shared his condolences on social media, acknowledging the profound void left by Chief Iwuanyanwu’s death.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Imo State, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Iwuanyanwu family and Ohanaeze Ndi’Igbo Worldwide,” the Governor stated. He praised Chief Iwuanyanwu as a philanthropist and leader whose contributions transcended ethnic boundaries, highlighting his efforts towards national unity and peace.
Governor Uzodimma celebrated Chief Iwuanyanwu’s role as a guiding light during turbulent times and his unwavering commitment to the Igbo cause. He expressed confidence that Chief Iwuanyanwu’s legacy will continue to inspire efforts for a peaceful and united Nigeria.
