Governor Yahaya Enhances Gombe’s Investment Future with Strategic Appointment
In a significant move aimed at fortifying Gombe State’s investment sector, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has approved the appointment of Mohammed Bello Abubakar Kumo, a seasoned Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Head of Civil Service, as the Sole Administrator/Liquidator for the Gombe State Investment and Property Development Company (GSIPDC).
This appointment aligns with the state executive council’s ongoing restructuring process, which seeks to streamline operations and bolster the state’s investment landscape. The restructuring is designed to wind down the GSIPDC, thereby paving the way for the Investment Promotion Agency to play a pivotal role in creating a more dynamic and competitive investment environment.
Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi, the Head of Civil Service, who conveyed the Governor’s approval, emphasized that Abubakar Kumo’s extensive experience and expertise are expected to drive the transition smoothly, ensuring that the restructuring process significantly contributes to the overall development of the state.
